- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 Tbsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- hot water - 2 c
- dark baking molasses - 1 c
How to make shoo-fly cake:
Crumb Mixture:4 c. flour3/4 c. shortening2 c. brown sugar1 tsp. salt Keep 1 cup crumb mixture for top. Mix rest with the first 3 ingredients and put into a 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle the 1 cup of crumbs on top. Bake 40 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low protein.
