How to make red velvet cake:
Icing:1 (8 oz.) cream cheese1 box powdered sugar1/2 c. chopped nuts Sift flour into bowl. In another bowl mix vinegar and cocoa. Add soda, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Add oil and eggs and blend well. Pour mixture into flour mix for 3 minutes and then add food coloring. Mix. Add buttermilk last and mix well. Pour into round cake pans (greased and floured). Bake at 325° for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tests done.Icing: Cream the cream cheese and sugar together. Spread over cooled cake. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
