Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 lb
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- cooked rice - 6 c
- Tabasco - 1/4 tsp
- cans red beans - 3 oz
- clove chopped garlic - 1 item
- strips bacon, cut in 1-inch pieces - 2 item
- pinch of ground thyme - 1 item
How to make red beans and rice:
Place all ingredients except sausage and rice in a 2-quart pan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add sausage to red beans the last 30 minutes of cooking time. Serve over rice.Recipe categories: Pork, Beans, Rice.
