- chopped nuts - 1 c
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 4 item
- seedless raisins
- 9-inch pie shell, baked
- Cover the raisins with cold water; bring to a boil and drain
How to make raisin meringue pie:
Prepare and bake a 9-inch pie shell. Cover the raisins with cold water; bring to a boil and drain. Add the sugar, milk, butter and egg yolks. Mix well. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add the chopped nuts. Put in prepared pie shell. Make meringue.Meringue:4 egg whites1/4 c. sugar Beat the egg whites very stiff, then slowly beat in the sugar.
