Raisin filled cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 4 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- raisins I use a whole box
How to make raisin filled cookies:
Filling:1 c. raisins (I use a whole box)1/2 tsp. cinnamon1 c. boiling water1 Tbsp. flour3/4 c. sugar Mix together the sugar, Crisco, milk, vanilla and nutmeg. Add baking powder to flour. Add more flour after it's mixed to make stiff enough to roll and fill.For Filling: Mix raisins, sugar, cinnamon and flour to boiling water. Cook until thick. Cool before filling cookie dough.
Roll out dough. Cut into round shape. Put desired amount of raisins on top. Place another lid on top, pressing down sides to seal together. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
