  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 4 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • cold water - 2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • seedless raisins - 2 c
  • light brown sugar, firmly packed - 2 c

How to make raisin cake:

Cook first 8 ingredients together for about 3 minutes. Let cool. Add soda dissolved in 2 tablespoons of warm water. Stir in flour and baking powder. Bake in greased and floured Bundt pan at 350° to 375° for 1 hour or until done. Remove from Bundt pan to cool.
