- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- water - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- cold water - 1 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- Crisco - 1 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- seeded Muscat raisins - 1 lb
How to make raisin cake:
Stew raisins in 2 cups water for 15 minutes. Add Crisco, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, salt and soda in 1 cup cold water. Mix in flour. Put in a pan. Bake at 300° for 1 3/4 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
