  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • water - 2 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • cold water - 1 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • seeded Muscat raisins - 1 lb

How to make raisin cake:

Stew raisins in 2 cups water for 15 minutes. Add Crisco, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, salt and soda in 1 cup cold water. Mix in flour. Put in a pan. Bake at 300° for 1 3/4 hours.
