  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • self-rising flour - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • chopped, cooked chicken - 2 c
  • broth - 2 c
  • stick margarine, melted - 1 item

How to make quick chicken pie:

Place chicken in casserole dish sprayed with vegetable spray. Bring broth and soup to boil and pour over chicken. A can of drained mixed vegetables or cooked and drained fresh vegetables can be added at this time. Make a batter out of remaining ingredients and spoon over chicken mixture. Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes. This is my Mammaw Oakes' recipe.
