Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1 c
- pumpkin pie spice - 1 Tbsp
- 16 oz - 1 c
- evaporated milk 13 oz
- 9-inch pastry shell, unbaked - 1 item
How to make pumpkin pie:
Combine eggs and pumpkin. Blend sugar, spice, flour and salt. Mix well. Pour into pastry shell; bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted near center comes out clear. Cool. Store in refrigerator. Serves 8.You may substitute 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ginger, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/4 teaspoon cloves for 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice.
