Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- black walnuts - 1 c
- Karo syrup - 1 Tbsp
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- cooked prunes - 1 c
How to make prune cake:
Icing:1 c. sugar1/2 c. buttermilk1/4 c. butter1/2 tsp. soda1 Tbsp. Karo syrup1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix sugar, oil and eggs. Sift all dry ingredients and add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla, nuts and prunes. Pour into buttered pan and bake for 45 to 60 minutes at 350°.Icing: Boil mixture until it forms a ball and pour over hot cake.
