Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- warm water
- coarse salt - 1 item
- yeast - 1 pkg
- nonfat cooking spray - 1 item
- light salt optional - 1 tsp
- flour or bread flour - 4 c
How to make pretzels:
Preheat oven to 425°. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in 1 1/2 cups warm water. Add 4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon sugar. Mix well. On a lightly floured surface, knead the mixture well with your hands. Roll pieces of dough into any shape you like. Place them on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with a nonfat cooking spray. In a small bowl, beat Egg Beaters. Brush the tops of the dough with the Egg Beaters. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake the pretzels at 425° for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
