- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- lemon extract - 1/2 tsp
How to make pound cake:
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flavorings. Sift flour with baking powder and add alternately with milk. Beat well after each addition. Pour in greased, floured tube pan. Place in cold oven and turn heat to 300°. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes. Do not open oven until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
