Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- dry active yeast - 1 pkg
- very hot water - 2 c
How to make pita bread:
Mix all the above together. Add more flour up to 4 cups to make a soft dough. Roll out onto a floured board. Knead 10 minutes. Place dough into a greased bowl. Cover and let rise 2 hours until double in bulk. Punch down; let rest 10 minutes. Divide into 6 parts. Roll out into 8 or 9-inch circle. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
