Applesauce oatmeal muffins
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 3/4 tsp
- vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- egg white - 1 item
- skim milk - 1/2 c
- unsweetened applesauce - 1 c
- margarine, melted - 1 Tbsp
- Quaker oats
- Quaker oats quick or old fashioned
How to make applesauce oatmeal muffins:
Topping:1/4 c. Quaker oats1 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar1/8 tsp. cinnamon1 Tbsp. margarine, melted Heat oven to 400°. Line 12 muffin cups with paper baking cups. Combine oats, flour, cinnamon, baking powder and baking soda. Add applesauce, milk, brown sugar, oil and egg white; mix just until dry ingredients are moistened. Fill muffin cups almost full.Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle evenly over batter. Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until deep golden brown. Serve warm.
