- can stewed tomatoes - 1 oz
- onion - 1 item
- bay leaves - 2 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- cumin - 1 Tbsp
- bacon grease - 3 Tbsp
- pinto beans - 1 lb
- can beef consomme - 1 1/2
- Cajun seasoning - 2 Tbsp
- ham hocks - 2 item
How to make pinto beans:
Cover beans with water (about 1 to 2 inches above beans). Cook for 1 hour. Drain. Add all ingredients; add enough water to cover beans. Cook 2 more hours or until done.Recipe categories: Low protein, Beans, North american.
