Ingredients/Components
- chuck roast - 3 4
- onion - 1 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- barbecue sauce - 3/4 c
- Worcestershire - 1/2 tsp
- water
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- rosemary, crushed - 1 tsp
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- parsley - 1 tsp
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- bay leaves - 2 item
How to make italian roast beef:
Leave roast whole and place in pan. Chop onion and green pepper and place on top of roast. Mix remaining ingredients and pour around roast. Cover and bake at 300° for 5 hours. Remove, cool and shred meat, removing fat and bones. Put meat back into sauce and bake for 1/2 hour more. Great on hard rolls as sandwiches.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Roast beef.
