- eggs - 3 item
- water
- oil - 1/3 c
- 4 oz
- carton Cool Whip - 1 oz
- orange cake mix - 1 item
- Frosting:1 can crushed pineapple
- can Angel Flake coconut optional - 1 item
How to make pineapple-orange cake:
Frosting:1 can crushed pineapple1 (3.4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip1 can Angel Flake coconut (optional) Mix cake according to directions on box. Bake in sheet pan approximately 35 minutes or until well done. Cool in pan 10 or 15 minutes, then turn out on rack to cool completely. Split cake into 2 layers (I pull a thread through it). Carefully lift one layer into sheet pan.Mix frosting as follows: Put the crushed pineapple (also juice) in bowl. Add pudding mix and mix well. Fold in Cool Whip. Frost 1st layer of cake. Add the second layer and frost. Sprinkle with coconut. Refrigerate until you serve it.
