Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cider vinegar - 2 c
- mixed spices - 1 tsp
- to 16 hard-cooked eggs - 12 item
How to make pickled eggs:
Add sugar, salt and spices to vinegar. Dilute 1/2 with water if strong. Simmer about 8 minutes. Strain and pour over the peeled eggs arranged in quart jar. Seal and let stand 2 days before using. Add sprig of dill, a few caraway seed, a slice of garlic, a clove or onions to brine as desired.Recipe categories: Egg, Lunch/snacks, Appetizers.
