  • sugar - 3 c
  • oil - 1 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • water - 2/3 c
  • persimmon pulp - 2 c
  • flour
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • pitted dates - 1 c

How to make persimmon bread:

Mix well the sugar, oil and eggs, then add other ingredients. Grease and flour 4 (1 pound) coffee tins. Fill each can 1/2 full and bake 1 hour in a 350° oven. Let cool before removing from can.

For freezing, leave in coffee can and seal with coffee can lid.
