Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- cold water - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- shortening
- sifted flour - 4 c
How to make perfect pie crust:
Blend dry ingredients, then cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Add liquid ingredients and toss with fork. Chill before rolling. Divide in 6 equal parts. Can be frozen and used as needed. Makes 3 double crust pies.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pies and tarts, American.
