Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- baking soda
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- small can evaporated milk - 1 item
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- can fruit cocktail, less 3/4 c
- Add flour, baking soda and fruit cocktail
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Blend butter, sugar and eggs. Add flour, baking soda and fruit cocktail. Mix gently. Spread in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and walnuts. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Topping:1 stick butter or margarine1 c. sugar1 small can evaporated milk In same saucepan, melt butter or margarine, sugar and evaporated milk. Bring to boil and cook 5 minutes. Pour over warm cake.Given to me by my friend, Bev Babic. So-o good, even I can do it!
