Pepper jelly
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 c
- cider vinegar - 1-1/2 c
- bottle liquid pectin - 1 item
- bell pepper about 3 peppers - 3/4 c
- cayenne or fresh hot pepper - 1/4 c
How to make pepper jelly:
Remove seeds from peppers, grind. Mix peppers, juice, vinegar. Add sugar. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Cool 2 minutes. Add pectin. Cool. Taste and add more peppers if you want it hotter. Add green or red food coloring if desired. Pour into jelly jars and seal.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Spreads, Jellies.
