Ingredients/Components
- evaporated milk - 2 Tbsp
- block paraffin - 1/3 item
- bag Kraft caramels - 14 oz
- pecans whole, not broken - 2 c
- Hershey chocolate bar 5 bars - 8 oz
How to make pecan turtles:
Melt the caramels and milk together. Add pecans. Drop onto buttered cookie sheets and harden in refrigerator. (Use about 3 pecans in each piece of candy.) Melt the paraffin over double boiler. Add chocolate bars and melt; mix with the paraffin. Dunk caramel mixture into chocolate mixture (using tablespoon) and place back onto cookie sheets; harden again in refrigerator. Makes 4 dozen.
