- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- peanut butter - 1/2 c
- crunchy peanut butter - 1/2 c
- cream cheese, softened - 1 (8
- whole milk - 2/3 c
- sticks butter, softened - 2 item
- butter-flavored solid shortening - 1/2 c
- Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy
How to make peanut butter pound cake:
In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening, butter, cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. In a small bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to cream mixture, blending well. Add vanilla. Pour batter into greased Bundt pan. Place in cold oven. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.Peanut Butter Icing:2 c. sugar2/3 c. whole milk2 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. peanut butter1/2 c. shortening Combine sugar and peanut butter. Add melted shortening and milk. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and beat until creamy.
