  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • peanut butter - 1 c
  • brown sugar, packed - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • butter or shortening - 1 c

How to make peanut butter cookies:

Mix flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside. Mix butter or shortening. Add both kinds of sugar. Mix well. Add eggs and beat well. Stir flour mixture into peanut butter. Drop dough from teaspoon on baking pan. Flatten with fork. Bake at 375° (moderate oven) for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned. Makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
