sugar - 2 c
eggs - 2 item
vanilla - 1 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
water - 1 c
soda - 1 tsp
buttermilk - 1/2 c
chopped nuts optional - 1 c
plain flour - 2 c
peanut butter - 1/2 c
box powdered sugar - 1 item
stick oleo - 1 item
1/2 sticks oleo - 1 item
Mix flour, sugar, salt and soda

How to make peanut butter cake:

(If using self-rising flour, omit salt and soda.)

Mix flour, sugar, salt and soda. Bring oleo, peanut butter and water to a boil and pour over flour mixture. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. It is better to mix with whisp, then with mixer, but you can use mixer. Try to get as many air bubbles out as you can. Mix well. Pour into greased 11 x 15 x 1 pan or you can use 9 x 13 pan for a thicker cake. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.Peanut Butter Icing:1/2 c. peanut butter2 tsp. vanilla1 stick oleo5 Tbsp. water1 box powdered sugar1 c. chopped nuts (optional) Bring peanut butter, oleo, water and vanilla to a boil. Add powdered sugar and nuts. Beat until smooth. Spread over warm cake. Enjoy.
