Peach cobbler
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- baking powder
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- sliced peaches - 4 c
How to make peach cobbler:
Heat oven to 400°.Mix sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in saucepan. Stir in peaches and juice. Cook until thick and boiling. Boil one minute. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Keep mixture hot in oven. Cut shortening into flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder and salt until mixture looks like crumbs. Stir in milk. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto hot peach mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Top should be golden brown. Serve hot.
