Peach cobbler
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- all-purpose flour
- Crisco
- sticks butter - 2 item
- ice water - 1 item
- cinnamon to taste - 1 item
- nutmeg to taste - 1 item
- to 3 large cans peaches - 2 item
How to make peach cobbler:
Pie Pastry:3 c. all-purpose flour1 1/4 c. Crisco pinch of salt ice water In large pot mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil for 10 minutes. Let cool. Prepare pie pastry. Sprinkle sugar over crust (optional). Pour cobbler into pie crust. Pinch sides of crust. Sprinkle top with cinnamon. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.Pie Pastry: Using fork, mix flour and Crisco together until crumbly. (Do not use hands.) Add ice water to batter. Roll crust out on a cutting board and use wax paper or a floured pastry board. With a rolling pin, roll to a thin crust. Crust should be fluffy and flaky.
