Parker house rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 6 7
- water - 1 c
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make parker house rolls:
Scald milk. Add cooking oil. Add 1 cup cool water. Dissolve yeast in above mixture. Add the sugar and salt. Sift in 6 to 7 cups flour, or enough flour until dough is not sticky. Let raise to double in size. Work down and make into rolls. Let raise again. Bake at 400° for 6 minutes. Makes 24 rolls.Recipe categories: Breads, Holiday, < 30 mins.
