Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- fine dry bread crumbs - 1 c
- finely chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- dried leaf thyme - 1/2 tsp
- fish fillets sole or haddock - 2 lb
How to make oven fried fish:
Separate fillets. Heat oven to 500°. Oil a 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish. Dip fish in combination of buttermilk, salt, pepper and thyme, then in a mixture of crumbs and parsley to coat both sides. Lay the fillets in prepared baking dish in a single layer if possible. Drizzle with cooking oil. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until fish is golden and flakes easily with a fork. Do not turn. Serve immediately.Recipe categories: Main dish, Fish, Seafood.
