Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/3 c
- can mandarin oranges - 1 oz
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 oz
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- finely chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- can bean sprouts - 1 or
- finely chopped celery - 1/2 c
- white vinegar - 2/3 c
- medium onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- jar chopped pimentos - 1 oz
- can bamboo shoots - 1 oz
How to make oriental salad:
Combine oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper in a pan; bring to a boil and cook over medium-high heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour hot oil mixture over drained vegetables and oranges. Mix well and chill.Recipe categories: Fruit, Salads, Side dish.
