Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 4 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 4 item
- can chicken broth - 1 item
- large onions, thinly sliced - 3 item
- can beef broth - 1 item
- Burgundy wine or beef broth, divided - 1/2 c
How to make onion soup:
In saucepan, saute onions and garlic in butter for 7 to 10 minutes until onions are tender, stir constantly. Add 1/4 cup wine, cook 5 minutes. Add remaining wine, chicken and beef broths.
