Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- sifted flour - 1 c
- slightly beaten egg - 1 item
- to 10 medium onions - 8 item
How to make onion rings:
Peel and slice onions. Separate and soak in ice water for 1 hour. Drain and dry. Sift flour, soda and salt. Combine egg and milk and add to dry mixture; beat until smooth. Deep fry until golden brown.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Vegetables, Onions.
