- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- quick cooking oats - 1/2 c
- whole wheat flour
How to make oatmeal wheat bread:
Preheat oven to 400°. In mixing bowl, lightly beat egg. Stir in milk, oil and brown sugar. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake 30 or 40 minutes or until a pick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to stand 5 minutes before serving. Makes 1 loaf.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Yeast breads.
