Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar
  • butter - 1 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • hot water - 1/2 c
  • oatmeal
  • dash of nutmeg - 1 item
  • dash of cinnamon - 1 item

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Cream the butter, sugar and oatmeal. Dissolve soda in the hot water. Pour over mixture. Add vanilla and flour. Roll in small balls on cookie sheet. Pat out with your hands very thin and then press with fork. Bake in a quick oven.
