Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • whole wheat or regular all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
  • oats rolled
  • raisins optional - 1/2 c

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; add to butter mixture. Mix until smooth. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 48 cookies.
