Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- pecans - 1/2 c
- quick oats uncooked - 3 c
How to make oatmeal cookies:
Cream shortening and sugars; add eggs and vanilla. Add flour and soda; beat well. Add oats and nuts; mix well. Chill after making in rolls. Slice 1/4-inch thick and bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350°. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.Note: After shaping in rolls, wrap in wax paper before chilling. Rolls can be frozen.
