- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- c white sugar - 1/2 item
- cream or canned milk - 1/2 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:6 tsp. butter1/2 c white sugar1/2 c. cream or canned milk1/2 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut1 c. chopped nuts Combine oats, butter and boiling water; let stand until you blend other ingredients. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes or until done.Topping: Combine all ingredients and spread on cake. Put under broiler for 2 to 4 minutes.
