  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • quick oats - 1 c
  • c white sugar - 1/2 item
  • cream or canned milk - 1/2 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Topping:6 tsp. butter1/2 c white sugar1/2 c. cream or canned milk1/2 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut1 c. chopped nuts Combine oats, butter and boiling water; let stand until you blend other ingredients. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes or until done.

Topping: Combine all ingredients and spread on cake. Put under broiler for 2 to 4 minutes.
