  • evaporated milk - 10 Tbsp
  • coconut - 1 c
  • nuts
  • molasses - 1 c
  • cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
  • oleo - 1/2 c
  • Add egg
  • sour milk 1 c - 1 c
  • egg whole - 1 item

How to make nut cake:

Cream brown sugar and oleo. Add egg. Add molasses. Alternate flour, cream of tartar and sour milk. Bake at 375° about 30 minutes in 9 x 13-inch pan.Topping:1 c. brown sugar1/4 lb. oleo10 Tbsp. evaporated milk1 c. coconut1 1/2 c. nuts Heat first 3 ingredients to boiling point. Add coconut and nuts. Broil in oven a few minutes until brown.
