Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 lb
- eggs - 6 item
- flour - 1 lb
- butter - 1/2 lb
- baking powder
- raisins - 1 lb
- pecans - 2 lb
- whiskey - 1 c
How to make nut cake:
Mix as any fruit cake. Pour into 10-inch tube pan that is lined with brown paper and greased. Bake at 250° to 275° for about 2 hours. Place pan of water on top rack of oven over cake.When completely cool, place in container. Cover top of cake with a cloth soaked in whiskey. Wrap in foil and wait one month.
I usually make at Thanksgiving and serve at Christmas.
