Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 4 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • dry mustard - 2 Tbsp
  • celery seed - 2 tsp
  • onions, sliced
  • turmeric - 2 tsp
  • red peppers, chopped - 2 item
  • green tomatoes, cut in pieces - 3 qt
  • cukes, cut in pieces
  • cauliflower, broken in pieces - 2 qt
  • 1/2 quarts vinegar - 1 item

How to make mustard pickles:

Cook cucumbers, onions, cauliflower, green tomatoes and red peppers in salted water until tender, not mushy. Drain and cover until the following mixture is ready.

Mix remaining dry ingredients; add vinegar slowly and cook until smooth and creamy. Pour over cooked vegetables and stir well. Can hot and seal.
