Hot curried fruit
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- curry powder - 1 tsp
- can pineapple chunks - 1 1/4
- jar spiced apple rings, drained - 1 oz
- can peach halves - 1 oz
- can pear halves - 1 oz
How to make hot curried fruit:
Drain peaches, pears and pineapple and reserve juice. Pour juice into medium saucepan. Combine cornstarch, sugar and curry powder. Add to juice. Stir and cook over medium heat until it thickens. Stir fruit into hot mixture and cook until thoroughly heated. Prepare ahead and heat in oven or microwave later if desired. Yield: 12 servings.Recipe categories: Low protein, Fruit, Side dish.
