Mom's cranberry salad
Ingredients/Components
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- cottage cheese - 8 oz
- walnuts optional - 1 c
- can pineapple tidbits - 1 item
- cherry Jell-O
- can cranberry sauce - 1 item
How to make mom's cranberry salad:
Drain pineapple juice into a saucepan. Add water if necessary to make a full cup. Heat to a boil. In mixing bowl, dissolve Jell-O in boiled pineapple juice. Add lemon juice and cranberry sauce. Beat with a mixer for 1 minute. Put in refrigerator until slightly formed, approximately 1 to 2 hours, then add the remaining ingredients.
