  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking powder
  • lard - 1 c
  • sour cream or buttermilk - 1 c
  • flour or more - 7 c
  • molasses some dark or all Brer Rabbit - 2 c
  • soda, dissolved in sour cream or buttermilk - 2 tsp
  • Bake in hot oven until set

How to make molasses drop cookies:

Dough should be quite stiff. Bake in hot oven until set.Topping:1 c. white sugar1/2 c. brown sugar Sift together and spread over cookies before baking to prevent sticking together. Very good, but a little hard to bake just right.
