Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking powder
- lard - 1 c
- sour cream or buttermilk - 1 c
- flour or more - 7 c
- molasses some dark or all Brer Rabbit - 2 c
- soda, dissolved in sour cream or buttermilk - 2 tsp
- Bake in hot oven until set
How to make molasses drop cookies:
Dough should be quite stiff. Bake in hot oven until set.Topping:1 c. white sugar1/2 c. brown sugar Sift together and spread over cookies before baking to prevent sticking together. Very good, but a little hard to bake just right.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
