Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 2 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- white sugar - 1/2 c
How to make molasses cookies:
Cream shortening and sugar until creamy. Add molasses and unbeaten egg. Blend well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with vinegar and water. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
