Mississippi mud bars
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 3 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- evaporated milk - 1/4 c
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- miniature marshmallows - 1/2 pkg
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Add eggs and mix well
How to make mississippi mud bars:
Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs and mix well. Sift flour, cocoa and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add nuts and vanilla. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased pan. Bake at 300° for 35 minutes. Remove and spread marshmallows on top. Return to oven for 10 minutes at 350°. Cool.Icing:2 sticks butter1 box powdered sugar1/4 c. cocoa1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans1/4 c. evaporated milk Sift sugar and cocoa. Mix with melted butter. Add milk, nuts and vanilla. Mix well.
