Ingredients/Components

  • sifted flour
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/3 c
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • moist mincemeat - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1/4 tsp

How to make mincemeat cookies:

Sift dry ingredients together. Cream shortening with sugar, then add egg and beat well. Add mincemeat, vanilla and flour mixture and mix until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderately hot oven (375°) for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
