Mincemeat cookies

Ingredients/Components

• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• nutmeg - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1 c
• brown sugar, packed - 2 c
• cold coffee - 1/2 c
• mincemeat - 2 c

How to make mincemeat cookies:

Mix shortening, sugar and egg. Stir in coffee. Mix dry ingredients together. Blend into shortening mixture; add mincemeat.

Chill dough for 1 hour or more. Drop rounded teaspoons of dough 2-inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.
