Million dollar pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 lb
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- flour - 4 c
- almond extract - 1 tsp
How to make million dollar pound cake:
Cream butter in a large bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix just until blended after each addition. Stir in flavoring. Pour batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.Cool cake in pan 10 to 15 minutes. Remove cake from pan and let cool completely on wire rack. Yield: One 10-inch cake.
