Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- cooked macaroni - 2 c
How to make microwave macaroni and cheese:
Prepare macaroni and set aside. Melt margarine in a 2 quart glass casserole in microwave (about 1 minute at High). Add flour, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook uncovered 6 minutes at High. Stir every 2 minutes. Add cheese to sauce. Stir. Cook uncovered for 1 minute at High. Add cooked macaroni to cheese sauces and stir. Cook uncovered for 4 minutes at High. Stir halfway through cooking period. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Elbow macaroni.
